Marissa Haralambides

aka Missa

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Marissa Haralambides, a 25-year-old graphic design graduate from Endicott College and current photography editor at East Coast Capture. I'm currently from Rhode Island and would love to branch outside of my bubble in pursuit of a rounded creative arts career. I've explored many avenues outside of just graphic design for my own creative pursuits ranging from motion graphics, photography to illustration. All these skills fall under the one true propose for myself as a creative - to bring to light stories and emotive experiences to audiences. I've always been enamored with emotional, story-driven pieces of media whether it be a design, movie, book, or videogame, especially of that of the psychological genre. Now with what I have built for myself, I know I can give back such experiences to others through thoughtful compositions, color schemes, photography, consistent branding, and of course adaptive illustration.

Currently in my pursuit of the creative world I've become proficient in photography editing, more specifically for school, event and holiday photography. I work with a small but dedicated team to provide very cohesive edits, crops and posing variety to children and their parents on their big days- picture day to dances to meeting Santa Claus! Along side that, I have created and edited comps for students, teachers and parents to look back on. Given the fast paced and precise nature of the job I've deep-dived into the usage and navigation of Lightroom and Photoshop.

For the graphic design side of my creativity, I've experienced multiple courses and internships. I’ve become proficient in creating posters, infographics, and logo designs. My design work has expanded further into my love for narrative-based content such as with my concept graphic novel for my thesis. I use Adobe Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for the majority of my design projects, but I do know how to navigate additional design programs such as Adobe XD and Canvas.

In my free time, I create for myself and accept commissions of illustrative work. Because of my love for media I create illustration and motion graphic pieces for either fandom content I'm attached to or my own expressive works. My primary programs used for these are Procreate and Adobe After Effects.
